Project Success with Greggs PLC
We are delighted to have just handed over a very successful project for the UK’s leading bakery food retailer, Greggs PLC. Key Integrated Services recently provided all of the mechanical and electrical services to a brand new automated cold store that has just finished at Greggs Ballilol.
Positioned between two existing manufacturing sites at Greggs Balliol Business Park in Newcastle-Upon-Tyne, the new automated frozen cold store is 32m in height and will be utilised for the storage of bulk frozen products being prepared for distribution to Greggs stores nationwide.
Key Integrated Services were appointed as the service provider for all of the mechanical and electrical requirements for the build. Key Integrated Services hold a long standing relationship with Greggs having completed over 30 projects for them of various sizes and types supporting them in transforming their production facilities throughout the UK.
This new cold store build is a fully ‘lights out’ process facility and will free up space on site as well as enabling the efficient delivery of finished goods to be baked in stores across the nation. The new facility includes six new loading docks, nine levels of automation, reduced oxygen fire suppression, new offices & welfare facilities and a full array of mechanical and electrical services to support this facility.
