The Project

With it being time for a refurbishment, Key Integrated Services were asked to provide services installations as part of the upgrade of Theatre 8, an operating theatre within Sandwell Hospital with associated scrub, prep, dirty utility and anaesthetic areas.

Project Objectives

The objective given to the team at Key Integrated Services was to provide installations to a pre-designed scheme. There was extensive co-ordination required from us in order to enable a swift installation.


Like most hospitals up and down the country, operating theatres are in high demand and downtime had to be kept to a minimum, meaning works had to be executed to the highest standard first time. Ductwork was a particular issue on this scheme due to the lack of space available.


Key Integrated Services selected the right team to deliver the project, by thoroughly planning the works and using off site manufacture the site team were given the tools they required to effectively install the system in the timeframe allocated.

The Results

The theatre was effectively commissioned and handed over to the client for immediate use, it was put to work straight away and massively improved the theatre in every aspect.
