BAE Welfare Facility
The project was a purpose-built environmentally friendly state of the art welfare building capable of providing services for the 3000 onsite staff with dining and occupational health facilities, with sustainability being a key driver with a BREEAM rating of ‘excellent’ achieved.
Project Objectives
The objective of the facility was to support the seemingly continuous expansion of BAE’s welfare requirements at this site. Key’s role was to provide bespoke ventilation systems throughout the building which fit in with the overall BREEAM requirements of the scheme.
Challenges
Working with a client such as BAE presents its own challenges, this was a live high security manufacturing site, and this project had a particularly critical client with an emphasis on a high quality finish.
Solution
Key Integrated Services completed various ventilation installations throughout the building and worked with the maintenance team at BAE on various smaller tasks to enable the building to be effectively maintained.
The Results
BAE Systems staff now have far superior welfare facilities thanks to the team that successfully delivered this project. The end result was a happy client and another project win for the team at Key Integrated Services.
