As part of the BerryWorld Group, PrepWorld was initially established in 2012 to market a range of soft fruit focused lines, showcasing BerryWorld’s unique berry varieties. They take care of every aspect of their business, from fruit sourcing to production, allowing them to provide consistently high-quality prepared fruit products all year round to major supermarkets and suppliers across the UK.
Client Profile
Having reached full capacity in their previous site, their new facilities in Northfleet, Kent ensure they are able to build on the last decade of growth. The new site provides a future-proof ‘everything under one roof’ offering and enables their business to better serve customer needs now, and in the future.
With sustainability at the forefront of their focus, the new site, which was project managed by KeyIS, provides huge advances in efficiency compared to their previous site with a sophisticated integrated HVAC system and a high insulation production area for better fruit quality and reduced thermal loss. In addition to this are many smaller-scale but impactful upgrades, such as LED lighting and effective waste management systems.
Due to the critical nature of the equipment, we assign the same site inducted engineers who are familiar with site operating procedures.
Contract Overview
Following the installation project by KeyIS, we successfully tendered for the contract to provide planned and reactive maintenance of the heating, ventilation and air conditioning services.
It is imperative that the HVAC equipment is kept within operational parameters to ensure compliance with food safety hygiene regulations. Our service desk team plan all maintenance visits via a pre-agreed schedule which does not impact or affect the production areas or the employees
working in those areas.
