Turners Soham Ltd
Turners Soham Ltd operate a refrigerated distribution centre at their headquarters in Newmarket. The site is separated into two separate cold stores, the old building to the east, and the new building to the west. Turners intend to extend the new cold store to incorporate additional sub-zero cold storage as well as additional blast freezing facilities.
Project Objectives
The brief from the client was to build and fit out a new extension, complete with a new refrigeration plant room and a new electrical switch room from which the new plant would be able to operate from. One item to be duly considered was ensuring the equipment sourced had the capability to see temperatures as low as minus 32 degrees.
Challenges
Executing this project throughout a pandemic was no doubt going to be a challenging task but one that all involved dealt with professionally and to a high standard. Global supply chains being stretched to the limit was a major factor throughout the project but one we managed to overcome; subsequently the project was delivered on schedule.
Solution
Key Integrated Services provided Turners Soham Ltd with a complete electrical design and install package ensuring key objectives were achieved. The result saw expectations exceeded and an extremely satisfied client.
The Results
The project was completed in December 2021 which allowed Turners to load out the facility in time for the Christmas period. The success of this project has supported the establishment of a strong working relationship.
