Women earn about half of science and engineering degrees, but they make up less than 20 percent of people employed in those fields. This is concerning, especially since there is also something of a talent shortage in the UK in terms of filling engineering roles.
This has led over 150 world-leading engineers, scientists and technology giants to join forces to urge the UK government to help tackle this issue.
