Burton Gateway, Burton upon Trent
Burton Gateway is a 50-acre industrial and distribution site with outline planning consent for up to 800,000 sq. ft (74,322 sq. m) of commercial business space. KeyIS were part of constructing 103,067 sq. ft of this overall space. The building called BG103 comprised of warehouse including offices, external works, drainage and external services.
Project Objectives
The primary objective was to deliver, on time, another one of the industrial units on the same site. The team at KeyIS were charged with the complete design & delivery of the mechanical & electrical services to the new facility.
Challenges
With another of these sheds being already completed & the client wishing to have an exact replica the team at Key had to ensure that the same finishes were applied throughout.
Solution
Starting from initial design, KeyIS successfully designed & delivered the complete mechanical & electrical services to the facility. Additional services included rainwater harvesting; advanced lighting control system & VRF system to the offices.
The Results
The project was a complete success & handed over on time to the client.
