English Cheesecake Company
Located in North East London, the English Cheesecake Company is a boutique manufacturer of the finest desserts. Starting in the late 1980’s it has enjoyed fantastic growth and is now a large manufacturer in its field. Key Integrated Services were employed to provide design and build services to their new high care manufacturing and office facility.
Project Objectives
The new facility was a derelict building purchased by the client to accommodate the new high care manufacturing area and accommodate their staff. The building was to be fully refurbished internally and externally to the clients bespoke requirements.
Challenges
The main project challenge was to change a derelict building into a state of the art high care confectionary production facility to meet Good Manufacturing Practice requirements. The project had strict programme restraints to minimise production downtime whilst operation was transferred from one facility to the other.
Solution
Key Integrated Services identified the client’s requirements for both the environment and production equipment and designed and delivered a mechanical & HVAC installation to suit. Complete new mechanical services systems were installed from new incoming services to final connections to manufacturing equipment.
The Results
The project was completed in January 2016, fully commissioned ready for production. The client requested that Key Integrated Services maintain the new facility.
