Kingfisher Business Park, Liverpool
A large Industrial estate situated in Liverpool, made up of an array of Industrial units were de-commissioned, divided into smaller sub-let units and then re-developed to CAT A standard.
Project Objectives
Along with the safe removal of existing legacy services, Key were tasked to design and build; gas, heating, ventilation, plumbing and above ground drainage services to serve each sub-let unit accordingly.
Challenges
As some of the larger units were being sub-divided into smaller ones, this involved necessary modification of existing services, as well as provision of separated metered gas and water Infrastructure to suit each new unit respectively.
Solution
A number of gas fired unit heaters were Installed at high level around the perimeter of each unit, complimented by high level de-stratification fans and associated controls. Gas fired central heating systems together with radiators were Installed to serve office areas. Plumbing and local extract ventilation systems were also provided to serve local toilet and tea point amenities located within each unit.
The Results
All sub-let units were completed on time and successfully handed over to developer and clients’ satisfaction.
