Manor Hall Academy Trust
The Manor Hall Academy Trust (MHAT) is a growing Multi-Academy Trust whose distinctive feature is that its existence was formed between special schools, working together to create a unique learning environment. Their ethos, values and aspirations are applicable to all schools, including mainstream schools, where children receive an excellent education and achieve the best possible outcomes whether they have special educational needs and disabilities or not. The Trust currently has 16 schools, and is in the process of building a new Free School in Stoke on Trent.
The schools across the Trust were previously maintained by KEYIS as part of our contract with Staffordshire County Council. MHAT is now a stand alone Trust for which we provide the servicing and testing of the air conditioning and ventilation plant across 9 of the 16 schools direct with the trust.
The Trust required a delivery partner who could accommodate their growth throughout the duration of the contract. Their buildings and health and safety are of the utmost importance and ensuring they are compliant is at the forefront of their strategy and day to day operations.
Our engineers had built up an excellent working relationship with the Trust’s representatives on site and they wanted to maintain our service to ensure that Health and Safety legislation required, is kept up-to-date and the equipment across the schools is maintained to this standard to keep the air conditioning and ventilation plant in good working order with minimal breakdowns.
We also provide a 24/7/365 emergency callout service managed by our service desk team dedicated to our school contracts.
Our engineers working on the schools all have Enhanced DBS clearance and have first-hand experience of the school’s on-site health and safety procedures and site protocol.
Working in partnership with the Trust we developed a bespoke maintenance strategy to optimise the learning environment whilst minimising disruption to the Trust. This takes into consideration the range of extracurricular activities which take place both after school and during holiday periods.
A robust and flexible planned maintenance strategy is essential to ensure our activities are carried out without any disruption to the schools, ensuring 100% compliance is maintained.
