Project Objectives
After a rigorous tender process, KeyIS secured the contract to deliver scheduled and on-demand maintenance services for the heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems.
Challenges
The challenges in this project primarily revolved around maintaining the HVAC equipment within operational parameters to meet stringent Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) regulations.
Additionally, our service desk team had to meticulously plan all maintenance visits according to a pre-agreed schedule that would not disrupt laboratory activities or affect the employees working in those areas.
Solution
Our solution to address the challenges faced in maintaining HVAC equipment within operational parameters while ensuring compliance with Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) regulations was multifaceted. Firstly, we implemented a rigorous maintenance schedule tailored to the specific needs of the laboratory environment. This schedule was meticulously planned by our service desk team to ensure that maintenance visits were conducted at optimal times, minimising disruptions to laboratory activities and employee workflows.
Additionally, we employed highly trained technicians who were well-versed in GLP regulations and equipped with the necessary expertise to perform maintenance tasks without compromising regulatory compliance.
The Results
The implementation of our comprehensive services helped enhance the reliability and performance of the HVAC systems within the laboratory environment.
Our tailored approach to maintenance, which included 24/7/365 reactive and emergency callout services, ensured that any issues were swiftly addressed to minimise downtime and disruptions to laboratory operations.
Our team of highly skilled engineers, who were assigned based on their familiarity with site operating procedures, provided specialised maintenance services for various HVAC components, including air conditioning, chillers, air handling units, fan coil units, and more.
This targeted approach led to improved equipment efficiency and longevity, ultimately reducing the risk of equipment failures and costly repairs.
Furthermore, the implementation of proactive maintenance measures, such as regular inspections and adjustments, contributed to enhanced equipment performance and compliance with Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) regulations. By ensuring that all HVAC systems operated within optimal parameters, we provided a conducive environment for laboratory activities while upholding regulatory standards.
Overall, our results demonstrated a marked improvement in the reliability, efficiency, and regulatory compliance of the laboratory HVAC systems, thereby facilitating uninterrupted laboratory operations and ensuring the safety and well-being of laboratory personnel.
